Cancellation and Refund Policy

Last updated: 20th July 2026

About Us

The Menopause Health Coach is operated by Phillipa Weaver-Smith, trading as The Menopause Health Coach.

This Cancellation and Refund Policy explains the cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms that apply when you purchase coaching services, workplace services, digital products or online courses from The Menopause Health Coach.

Nothing in this Policy affects any rights you have under applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

General Principles

We aim to be fair, transparent and reasonable in our approach to cancellations and refunds.

Different cancellation and refund arrangements apply depending on the type of service or product purchased. These are explained below.

Where specific cancellation or refund terms are agreed in writing for a particular service, event or corporate engagement, those terms will take precedence over this Policy.

Consumer Rights

If you are purchasing as a consumer, you benefit from statutory rights under UK consumer legislation.

Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes any legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where digital content is supplied immediately following purchase, you may be asked to expressly consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel may end once access has been provided, where permitted by law.

If any digital content or service is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to comply with applicable consumer legislation, your statutory rights remain unaffected.

One-to-One Coaching

Individual coaching consultations are booked for a specific date and time.

If you need to reschedule, please provide as much notice as reasonably possible.

Where sufficient notice is given, we will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative appointment.

Missed appointments or cancellations made without reasonable notice may be treated as used appointments and may not be refunded.

Where exceptional circumstances apply, we may offer an alternative appointment at our discretion.

Coaching Packages

Coaching packages are designed as structured programmes rather than individual standalone sessions.

Once a coaching programme has commenced, refunds are generally not available for unused sessions unless required by law.

If you decide not to continue with a coaching programme after it has started, any refund will be considered only where required by applicable consumer legislation or where exceptional circumstances apply.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

Digital Downloads

Digital downloads, including guides, worksheets, templates, PDFs and other downloadable resources, are supplied electronically.

Where you expressly request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that your statutory cancellation rights may end once supply begins, refunds for change of mind are generally not available.

If digital content is faulty, incomplete or not as described, your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Online Courses

This section applies to Menopause Essentials and any other online courses made available by The Menopause Health Coach.

Course access is normally provided immediately after purchase.

Before access is granted, you may be asked to expressly consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel may no longer apply once access has been provided, where permitted by law.

Refunds are not normally available simply because you change your mind after course access has been granted.

If a course is materially faulty, inaccessible due to our error, or significantly different from its description, we will work with you to resolve the issue and provide any remedy required by applicable law.

Workplace Talks

Bookings for workplace talks reserve a specific date and preparation time.

If an organisation cancels after work has commenced or within a reasonable period before the scheduled delivery date, cancellation charges may apply depending on the amount of preparation already completed.

Where possible, we will work with organisations to rearrange delivery rather than cancel the engagement.

Workplace Consultancy

Consultancy work is often tailored specifically to each organisation.

Where consultancy work has commenced, charges may apply for work completed up to the date of cancellation.

Any bespoke documents, reports or materials produced before cancellation remain chargeable.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payments already made for completed consultancy work are non-refundable except where required by law.

Corporate Training

Training sessions delivered to organisations are booked for agreed dates and attendee numbers.

If rescheduling is requested, we will make reasonable efforts to agree an alternative date.

Where significant preparation has already taken place or short-notice cancellation occurs, reasonable cancellation charges may apply.

Rescheduling

Where rescheduling is permitted, reasonable notice should be provided.

We will always try to accommodate requests where availability allows.

Rescheduling requests made shortly before a scheduled appointment or event may not always be possible.

Cancellations

Cancellation requests should be made as soon as possible by email.

Where cancellation charges apply, these will reflect the work completed, preparation undertaken, reserved time or contractual commitments already incurred.

Refunds

Approved refunds will normally be made using the original payment method wherever reasonably possible.

Refunds will usually be processed within 14 days after they have been approved, although processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.

We reserve the right to deduct any sums that remain properly due under the relevant contract where permitted by law.

Faulty Digital Content

If any digital content supplied by us is faulty, incomplete, inaccessible due to our error or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Where required by applicable consumer legislation, we will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

Requests should be made by email to:

phillipa@themenopausehealthcoach.com

Please include:

  • your full name;

  • your order or booking details;

  • the service or product purchased;

  • the reason for your request; and

  • any supporting information where relevant.

We aim to acknowledge requests within a reasonable timeframe and will respond as soon as reasonably practicable.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cancellation and Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices or legal requirements.

The version published on our website at the time of your booking or purchase will normally apply unless we notify you otherwise.
