My name is Phillipa Jacobs-Smith and my journey to becoming a menopause health coach has been deeply personal.
My menopause coaching is rooted in science, but my approach is personal, compassionate and tailored to your unique journey. Together, we can make your menopause experience one of strength, vitality and empowerment.
In my younger years, I was a competitive middle-distance athlete. Movement felt natural. I thrived on it and my body responded with ease. But as I got older, things began to shift. By my 40s, I was facing a new reality: changes in body composition, a noticeable drop in strength and a disconnect between how I felt and how I had always seen myself.
At first, none of it made sense. Why was my body, something I thought I knew so well, starting to feel unfamiliar? Why did I feel forgetful, anxious and just… off? And why was my usual exercise routine no longer delivering the same results?
Like so many women, I believed I was eating well, plenty of “healthy” options, watching portions, avoiding snacks. But I still felt drained, bloated and out of sync. It wasn’t until late perimenopause that I realised the way I’d always eaten no longer worked with my body, it was working against it.
I'd read the articles. I'd listened to the podcasts. I'd bought the supplements. And I was still stuck.
I knew what I should do. I just couldn't seem to do it.
That realisation became a turning point. Through my training as a nutrition and health coach and my background in personal fitness training, I gained the tools not just to understand the science, but to translate it into something that actually worked for my life. I learned to spot the patterns I couldn't see when I was living inside them. And I discovered that the shift from knowing to doing is where real change happens.
Why This Matters to You
What became abundantly clear along the way was that too many women face this stage drowning in conflicting information but starving for actual support. You don't need another meal plan. You don't need someone explaining cortisol curves in scientific jargon. You need someone who asks the right questions, spots what you can't see and helps you bridge the gap between "I know what I should do" and "I'm actually doing it."
